You don't "make the money" because SS is not buying the phone for $650 cash price. Simple concept vs. perception.
As a trade in value, you are almost $250 up,if you are pre ordering S24 series, which alot of people do these days...
I purchase S22 ultra for my wife, who is using A71 5g phone. For her it's a big upgrade...

I haven't purchased a phone since the Samsung Note 4 was released because my sister just gives me her old phones and I don't need anything fancy so I just take whatever she gives.
Currently on a Note 10 and honestly don't see much difference outside of the camera and 1 or 2 other features I'd use on the newer phones. Wife has been with Apple forever and we have 2 children now so access to Facetime is looking more and more appealing. I hate Apple, though. I haven't owned a single Apple product since my little 2e computer in the 80's.
I'd like to find a good deal....

Thank you. I don't particularly enjoy the Notes. Just use them because that's what I'm usually given.
I can absolutely afford a new phone 100x over but no need to pad their coffers.
The newest and most powerful iteration of the iphone looked nice. I'd spring for it but there's just no need for it really lol. Their target audience is the audience that shouldn't be spending $1500 on a new phone IMO. Most of those kids are absolutely broke and they (along with the kids and their parents) know it.
