If you were a true SDer who have have followed Tmobile threads for many years you would have been one of the ones to really take advantage of some great deals. There are plenty of people on here who had MM with 9+ lines for under $100, some even well under it with kickbacks. When it was time for go5g plus, they only paid like $8 more a month, still very cheap and still worth it if they do these upgrade offers on 2 or more lines.
I got in late on the bonanza of plan deals and still managed to get 9 lines for around $120 on Go5g plus. Still pretty good. I plan to do at least 3 device promos every 2 years so it is worth it for me. At least these promos are 24 months not 36 months like other carriers.
Don't ask how this was done, because you aren't going to be able to replicate it at this point, but if you have been here long enough you would have been able to figure it out.
Personally one of the side effects of grabbing the 9 lines mostly free, is that you can use an extra line instead for the purchase in the predicament where you have 2 payments left on your line and a preorder that ends in 11 days. Zero chance of losing credits. Phones can physically go on whichever line you want. And the phone I'm using now isn't going to be the phone I'm trading in to TMO anyways. Trading in a $70 10se instead. But like you mentioned that upgrade for me to Go5G+ (and higher TIVs) was calculated and cheap because they only charge my 2 paid lines.
If you are using all your lines, you should at least have a line that's not currently financed, and can use that one without worry.
