I bought my S24 plus on Samsung with Tmobile. My 12% cash back shows the actual phone cost of $925 although I only paid tax of $71.

It's still a decent deal if you don't have the go5g plans. I mean you can trade in a 5 year old phone for $500 off lol. If you are just getting the s24, that makes it $300.

^This. Whenever I switch from conventional to TMO financing I lose all but $65 discounts, the EPP part. As it is now it's passing $1300 over to TMO, and only $1k is covered by trade.

I tried the using T-Mobile through samsung.com with the education discount but it didn't go through. T-Mobile Rep said you couldn't combine the two even though the Samsung website made it seem like you could.

Yeah, it's super annoying. They convince you to switch to a plan because it gets you phone deals. But by the time you actually are ready for a new phone, the plan no longer gets you the good phone deals. They'll just do it again in a few years.
