PBLIW01 is an absolute beast, but it's sized and weighted accordingly (5.13lbs!). If you don't need the extra torque I think the P262 at this price is a really good deal. And if you do need the extra torque, I still might consider getting a more compact unit for everyday use - although more compact than the P262.

Respectfully, I think it's a good deal. It'll come out to like $80 after tax and shipping for a "blemished" tool. I paid $93 after tax for it brand new (using a HD hack). Just the fact that it's the lowest price I've ever seen makes it a good deal. But I also like that people have the option to pay $13 more for a new one next time there's a hack or get this if they want the lowest price.

Also I used this model to redo my whole steering and suspension on a crusty 60 year old car and it handled everything I threw at it just fine.

"Factory Blemished" from Direct Tools IS new. They're simply not allowed to call it new due to sales/marketing agreements between the tool manufacturers and HD.

If it's worth it to you to spend the time checking back every so often for the next deal (if such a deal ever comes back, inflation is a thing) and deal with the hassle of using the HD hack, by all means go for it. For a lot of people though it's not worth the extra time and effort to pay $13 more for the same thing - again, even if it ever goes on sale at that price again.

FYI this isn't the strongest they have. PBLIW01 is their strongest with 1170 lb/ft torque.

This one has :Brushless motor delivers up to 600 ft./lbs. of breakaway torque and 450 ft./lbs. of fastening torque

At this price with shipping is so so. I've gotten the other one a long while back with HD hack for around $90.

Agreed. But with everyday stuff.... there is really nothing needed for this lol. I mean Ryobi has a bunch of other impacts that might just work for everyday stuff. But also a this price point $75 shipped, it's not a big deal.

No, this thing does not have the most torque available from a Ryobi wrench, but it does have plenty adequate torque for most things that most people would be using a torque wrench for. With the added benefits of being cheaper, lighter, and smaller so that it will fit into tighter places that big ol' PBLIW01 could only dream of.

Hey man, I'm with you. I'd be buying this right now if I didn't already have one.

I just submitted a BBB complaint because their rapidrepair service has taken nearly 3 months and counting for a 4ah battery. I will not be buying Ryobi anymore despite my investment into their system.

Should've just bought another battery.

The old 1/2" brushed model was something like 300 fit/lbs break away. Enough for lug nuts, subframe bolts, and crank dampeners for me.

Would i like the high torque? of course. but i can't justify paying for it when the old weaker 1/2 worked good enough.. i use my m12 3/8 stubby for most anyways.

That's a complaint site. It's interesting that they have a better score than Home Depot [bbb.org], Lowe's [bbb.org], and Menards [bbb.org]. I don't think you'd buy anything from anyone if you used that website as gauge.
