Bought 2, used them for Costco same-day delivery. After tip and the ~10% up-charge on items I essentially only saved time

Will a coupon apply prior to this gifcard? I normally get a 10 off 35 or even sometime 40 off 80. Will I be able to apply the coupon and then pay with the gifcard?

Unsure if others have this same experience. But I used to get promos from Instacart (not Same-day) regularly, but after I added $100 credit to my account, I have only had 2 promos sent in the past 2.5 years.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. The price through Costco sameway is different from if you go through instacart to shop Costco. It's weird since they both use the same service and sam store

Saving time is good enough for me with a toddler, Costco is a mess on weekends here when I have time to go and the toddler will mess with things, eat the blueberries in the cart, etc.

It's been a while since I bothered to compare, but from my experience Costco app did not allow tipping and just charged higher prices, while instacart had lower prices but asked to tip - so in the end it ended up roughly the same.

I've given up on costco delivery service. Too much price manipulation. Sams is WYSIWYG. I don't need to calculate out 2 layers of price increases after I already pay them just to shop there. They used to be on the ball, but in the last couple of years, it's been a shtshow that I can't afford.

Steer clear of Instacart GCs unless you want your acc locked with gift balance on it that it impossible to get refunded afterwards (fought them for months)

Their Steal Team (trust&safety) is the worst thing in the history of CS of any company

Sams products are generally inferior to Costco across the board. They go too far in a quest to make them cheap. So.. Sams != Costco. That explains higher prices, however that manifests: layers, no layers, etc.

With 20% off gift cards, the end price is about the same in store. But I save time and also save money by not making unplanned purchases

I know Ubereats did. Normally I would get 50% off on ubereats then after I added the gift card. They stopped giving me promotions for like half year at least. Not sure if Instacart does the same. I only order on Instacart if they have $40 off $80 with free shipping. Without those combo promo not worth the order due to fees. Would be nice to add this gift card discount with the 50% + free shipping 😂

Yes, have reordered once. 4 total, not sure how Costco enforces that. But one order was in 2023 and one in 2024.
