Tfs. I don't bite on these bc I never see any retailer discount the smaller denominations by 20% or more.
I only use instacart when they send me a promo code and it's always $10 off $30 or half off $40/80 purchases. Means I'd have to use the gc a few times to use it up, which isn't itself a prob. But I'm convinced that any type of credit on my instacart acct slows or prevents me from getting good offers.
I know Ubereats did. Normally I would get 50% off on ubereats then after I added the gift card. They stopped giving me promotions for like half year at least. Not sure if Instacart does the same. I only order on Instacart if they have $40 off $80 with free shipping. Without those combo promo not worth the order due to fees. Would be nice to add this gift card discount with the 50% + free shipping 😂
I buy these every time they come up. They're basically free money as i now do 90% of my shopping on instacart. "Saving time" is absolutely worthwhile, even if I spent more, which I don't. The store i buy from is cheaper than the stores nearby, but too far away for me to justify driving there and back for groceries. It's so much cheaper that I end up saving money, even after all the fees. Make sure you shop at a store that says the prices are the same as in-store. The 20% off Gcs are just icing.
These are not specific to costco sameday. I don't use costco through instacart because the markups are so freaking high it eliminates any savings, and that's before the fees. They also seem to raise the instacart premium at least twice a year.
I've redeemed a couple dozen of these with no issues. I have no clue what the account locking rants you see in these threads are all about.
I just looked at Instacart + membership. $99/year. Know of any credit cards or deals to get it cheaper? TYIA
Paypal has a 50% off last month that's how I signed.
Here on SD there was a targeted offer for $19/yr

With 20% off gift cards, the end price is about the same in store. But I save time and also save money by not making unplanned purchases
The time it takes to do that is why I've stopped doing that. Hitting sale items, and price matching, and discount gift cards, plus tip so I'm not an ahole, while costco no longer has food sale items regardless, is too much of a PITA for me.
Their products are higher end, but not worth that much hassle.
Comparatively, I get a plus membership at sams, buy sale items(or not), and I'm done. No instacart or doordash or whatever they're using this month. Or if I'm feeling really cheap, do a pickup order and skip the tip(if fresh food).
But I'm glad it works for you. I just don't have the energy to do so.
Saving time is good enough for me with a toddler, Costco is a mess on weekends here when I have time to go and the toddler will mess with things, eat the blueberries in the cart, etc.
100% this. Store is 40min from us, so we're saving ~3hrs plus frustration of in store. Totally worth it for us every 1.5-2 weeks.
has anyone tried to use this on costco sme day order and also applied another promo code and was charged to my cc on file instead of using the gc? and worse i never could use that code again as instacart says the code has already been used. i dont know if it is somehow tied to my costco acct for another same day order but i havent made one yet.

I still get promos, they seem to be random. Credit or no credit.

Yes this happens to people unfortunately. One of the many problems with instacart. That GC should still be available to use on Costco same day.
Sams products are generally inferior to Costco across the board. They go too far in a quest to make them cheap. So.. Sams != Costco. That explains higher prices, however that manifests: layers, no layers, etc.
The lower prices could also be explained by lower labor costs and the scale of being part of the behemoth that is Walmart.

Yes, have reordered once. 4 total, not sure how Costco enforces that. But one order was in 2023 and one in 2024.
It's free with my Chase Sapphire Reserve, and they also give me $15/month to spend there

Same here, still showing "Order Placed" status.
