I had the 43 inch version of this TV and it was terrible. Sent it back and got a TCL. The Pioneer's picture was worse than old cheap 1080p TVs I've seen. Looks like something out of a Dollar General. Don't do it
Who remembers when Pioneer had the Kuro and it was the best plasma TV? Now they sell a TV that isn't even mid tier.
What do you expect for $299?

cant find anything on this tv on rtings so is that a good thing or bad? lol
I used to be in the electronic business and I haven't kept up with the times but many companies sell/rent/lease their names to crappy Chinese [consumerreports.org] junk manufacturers so they can use place them on their s**ty products !
Shame.... Pioneer use to make one of the best TVs ever !
Sharp did reclaim its moniker!

No. This runs Linux. And xumo is Charter and Comcast partnership

Android is Linux based... I read Xumo may be sideloadable...

I need a cheap outdoor TV that gets partial shade…any input from the TV gurus here?
Guru here: Get a TV that is designed to be outdoors--this one isn't. Unless you don't care about it dying after a year or two than sure, go for it.

I would point out though that this TV is bottom tier trash. The Pioneer branding means nothing. Even budget brands are far superior.

This or the ONN one from Walmart? Leaning towards that due to the Roku.

It should be the same as the other ROKU branded/Amazon branded FireTV bottom tier TVs in terms of quality. They are all the same. You get what you pay for in terms of picture quality.

As with any LCD/LED TV, the HDR will be so washed out it's not even worth using.

I believe Pioneer is just a licensed brand name now. Not sure who the actual OEM is for this unit.
They are made by TCL which owns the rights to the name.

58" Panasonic Plasma owner here. Love hearing I'm not the only one still rocking a Plasma.

Other than the black levels fading over the past 15 years (and its energy consumption) I still love it.
