For those that are unfamiliar with WESCO; it's manufactured by Positec[wikipedia.org]. Positec is a Chinese based manufacturer that is mainly known for their WORX and Rockwell tools. So IMO you should expect WORX qulaity and performance from Wesco. In my experience WORX has been acceptable/good enough...
Congrats to you and everyone that got the deal. Unfortunately by the time I figured out that the Wesco brand is a subsidiary of Positec which is a relatively decent/acceptable manufacturer (Mostly known for their WORX tools) and that the model WS8706U was self propelled it was too late...
Actually I did have a chance to purchase the mower from Amazon for $169.99 but due to my ambivalence/uncertainty of the WS8706U being self propelled my slow cheap basterd ars missed out a second time.
I would recommend that you purchase an additional $30 battery[amazon.com] while you can as the Wesco brand seems to be fazing/closing out as far as I can tell and might be hard to find in the future.
Well, hopefully my half ars investigation helped a few here; IMO the WS8706U was a steal at $149.99 shipped on Woot. You should expect WORX quality from the Wesco/Positec mower IE good enough quality that should last you at least 2 to 3 years IMO.
Got mine and it came damaged. Deck is bent and blade hits the deck every turn. Motor also making loud clanging sounds. Make sure you test yours out before the return window ends!
Mowed the first time today and 2 batteries wasn't enough to cut my not very large lawn (maybe 1/4 acre). Pretty disappointed in the battery life. Maybe it's partially because I custom fit a mulching blade, but even so, pretty disappointed

Anyone find a mulching blade for the 22" model?
