Key specs ( from W ) 3000 running watts, 25 running amps, 150 cc "as low as
58 dBA". 70 lbs dry weight, 1.3 gal tank , 8 hr run time @ 25% rated load.
Lacks the digital data center which I love on the more expensive igens and their graphical display visible from a distance. This allows the user to know at a glance how close he is to maxing out the power, how much fuel is left and run time remaining.

Westinghouse seems to think they can just charge more for some reason that isn't apparent to me. Their normal prices are unjustifiably higher compared to some other manufactures, like Wen or Pulsar, who's products are no worse and sometimes better, and who's products I have no doubt came out of the same factory.
This is an okay deal. No DC-out sucks.

Your 80 cc igen2200 is 1800 watts. $205 was a clearance price on old stock good for only a few hours, 11.3 cents per watt. . Historically $300 has been a slick price for it and similar 1800 watt inverters.
At 13.2 cents per watt this 3000 w is also a slick deal. It can run two roof air units with soft start. An 1800 watt can't run any roof air. If you had bought two 1800 w and parallel-ed them then two might have similar starting capacity or maybe not.
The Vietnam and China factories that build these build them to spec. for the U.S. distributor. That's why the performance, fuel efficiency and sound-proofing differ between visually similar models. A less expensive brand may specify a different engine, lighter duty inverter board ect.

After eliminating the one star reviews which were the result of shipping damage or having received a used generator there is only one issue that stood out: "dies when moving off the choke position".
Apparently some units got sent out with a defective electronic speed control. (1) refuse if carton shows signs of mishandling (2) Set up and run the generator as soon as you get it. Amazon has you covered.
Last year there were complaints on igen4500 with rough running hard starting. Amazon cut the price in half. This was caused by an electric choke wire that had come loose in shipping. After an easy fix reattaching that wire I was thrilled to have gotten an igen4500 at a huge discount. This sort of thing happens with all brands except possibly Honda at 4 times the price.
The most reliable reviews come from RV people who are full timers. I suggest reading those reviews.

I opted for the 2200c back in January 2023 and its been a love-hate relationship. I had some problems with a leaky carburetor. Westinghouse did finally replace it under warranty but it was a major PITA to get them to ship the right part. It took them three tries and about 5 weeks before they sent me the right carburetor. Not counting the hours it took to fix it because you literally have to take the entire case apart get the carb off. If I had to do it again, I'd of saved my money for a dual fuel generator.
Many of these smaller inverter generators have limited fuel capacity. I know that there are options to essentially add an additional fuel supply to the smaller Honda units - and I would guess that some industrious folks may have done something similar with other models as well.
Just something to consider!
