Sardines are herrings: https://seafoodacademy.org/the-he...family.php

To be specific, sardines are a type of herring. So all sardines are herrings. Not all herring are sardines. But, until proven otherwise, I would assume these herrings are because they're literally labeled as sardines.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but in my experience, skin-on sardines are better. The skin acts as a natural buffer that keeps the meat more tender and juicy. And there are some great, flavorful fats in the skin. Yes, it does change the flavor, but, in my opinion, for the better.
I don't know how I did it but my cost came to $6.20. Thanks!

Is it SKINLESS though? I find that the skin really changes the flavor on fish, specially if canned.

Boneless, but not skinless.

Be aware that these are herring fillets....NOT SARDINES. Not that there is anything lesser about herring, but outwardly seems downright deceptive. The one star reviews, and Amazon ingredients label tells it all.
Why does it say "Brunswick Sardine Fillets" then? The FTC isn't usually happy about false advertising. The fines can be substantial.

No joy … no coupon for me. I've never had a sardine in my life and was looking to try. Lol.

What I got from this post is that the "Brunswick Sardine" branding is....a red herring?

I've had these. For "no salt added" they taste VERY salty. I was disappointed enough to leave a bad review.

Would have preferred with bones for the calcium benefit. Canned sardine bones are actually pretty soft anyway.
