anyways i was kinda down on the 12 due to the curved screen while samsung goes flat. but mr whos the boss review changed my mind a little. phone seems awesome for 799 vs 1200 for s24 ultra or latest iphone.

also they are giving 290 tiv for my 8t. which is crazy. so before maybe a 5% edu discount etc i'm down to 510. which is not bad for the latest flagship. and it includes the free wireless 50w charger for now.

i didnt even know the 12r was a thing, maybe even more exciting. just the 8gb ram is a bit of a bummer though it's still probably fine.

12r in particular will likely start dropping in price it seems like a big sale candidate down the road.

i'm going to investigate the 12r for sure, and find out the specs and highest discount i can get. 16gb is 599. plus 10% edu which i should have a edu account now too.

theyre saying 260 for 8t and 160 for 8t+5g trade in on the 12r. misprint or? i dont know the difference. all 8t should be 5g...

shame none of these phones are flat but oh well.

lol 12r is 399 with trade in of any phone. which i have a orbic 5g visible sent me free in the drawer. the value one plus gives is just dummy tbh. then i could keep my 8t to sell or whatever. lots to think about.
Almost even swap Pixel 8 for OP12R. Tempting

The screen is brighter than the S24U...

"The OnePlus 12 comes with a 6.82-inch LTPO 3.0 QHD+ (3216 × 1440) OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, peak brightness of 4,500 nits"

has IR blaster, has a decent camera and works on AT&T finally. But the price is too high. Anyone know if the 11 was compatible with AT&T wifi calling?

Do you even need to turn in a phone to get the $100 off? It just gives an address where to send to recycler

Now that the free wireless charger is gone, do we think we should wait and see what Amazon and Best Buy offer? Looks like these preorder and trade-in incentives last through 2/18.

It's a good price for a brand new product which also happens to be arguably the best in the Android ecosystem.

I feel like a lot of the negativity in this thread is coming from Apple users who would never even consider buying any Android phone. Which if that's the case, you're just another online troll.

Even tho is's been nerfed this time, Samsung's trade in still offers significantly better value, especially if you want accessories. The out of pocket cost isn't much higher especially you know that S24U will also give you above average trade-in value down the road. Plus afterall S24U is a more "complete" device if you want the best of the best.

I'm still debating which way to go with my OP11/Z Flip5 in hand. Honestly, I think OP is missing some major marketing/retention opportunities with Samsung's weak deals prior to OP's release in NA. All I need is $100 more to completely tip me towards ordering the OP12.

"more complete" ????
No phone in the world is worth 500+ more.

Not good price at all
For the specs and performance, this is a very competitive price compared to the base prices of U.S. competition. That said, most Americans would rather be on a payment plan with a wireless provider.

In America financing purchases is part of the culture. Then you have a bevy of programs like affirm.
