For Nintendo Switch:
* Yes It will work, you need to use the included cable from the Switch to one of the USB-C ports
* You can use other cables, but they need to be either a) USB e-marked (ranging from speeds 2.0 and up) or b) USB 3.2 cables (which are automatically e-marked)
* The other USB-C port needs to be powered by at least a 45W USB-PD AC adapter/charger
* This setup essentially replaces the dock. It would output to the screen and not mirror.
For Laptops/Desktops:
* As long as it's supported, the single USB-C cable can output video + power the portable monitor as well. This works with my Chromebook, Dell, and MacBook
* Note that you can also charge your device if you plug in the additional charging cable into the other USB-C port (45W USB-PD and up), so it will power-passthrough from the monitor back to the laptop
For these monitors, I'd suggest investing a little more into ones that have touchscreen enabled. Using these with Windows/Chromebook/Android + touchscreen makes things much more convenient.

14", 2560Ć1600, 100% sRGB IPS, 400-nit hdr. says vesa compatible but it's only got two screw holes 75mm apart, as far as i can tell? anyway it's super-light, plastic build, but feels decent enough with a built-in kickstand (and of course no flippy magnetic cover, but a thin bezel and inset like an old tv, presumably to reduce any damage if it falls forward). tried using a 65w-compatible short monoprice charging cable but of course that didn't work; the included cable did, however, as just a single cable solution to my work laptop. excellent price/performance.
