The Hisense U7 series is packed with features for movie, sports, and gaming enthusiasts alike. With Full Array Local Dimming, Peak Brightness 1000, along with Quantum Dot Color and Dolby Vision / Dolby Atmos, the U7 delivers unmatched performance. Upgrading to a 144Hz variable refresh rate panel, with Dolby Vision Gaming, AMD Freesync Premium Pro, and 2.1 channel audio maximizes the gaming experience. In addition, Hisense's ULED™ technology improves picture depth, clarity, color accuracy, and motion delivering a unique experience only found in Hisense ULED television sets. And, Google TV with Hands-Free Voice Control, makes searching and playing your favorite content simple and seamless. Add in leading-edge features like a NEXTGEN TV ATSC 3.0 tuner and WiFi 6E compatibility and the U7 is virtually future-proof.
4K ULED
Hisense's proprietary ULED technologies boost color, contrast, brightness, and motion. This suite of patented hardware and software technologies delivers an engaging and completely unique picture that can only be delivered by Hisense.
Full Array Local Dimming
Advanced Full Array local dimming technology to precisely adjust the LED's brightness in both dark and bright areas of the picture creating greatly improved contrast and producing an unmatched viewing experience in all room environments
Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut
Quantum Dot produces purer, richer, more brilliant and accurate color than a regular LED TV. Creating over a billion color combinations that bring vibrant images to life in a way non-QLED TVs can't.
Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos
Dolby Vision HDR * picture and Dolby Atmos sound are cinema technology for your home. They provide amazing realism you can see and hear in every scene
Metal Stand, Bezel-less design
A bezel-less design gives this television a sleek aesthetic that won't 'overpower' the room with an unnecessarily large frame. The metal stand provides sturdy support for this feature-packed television
FilmMaker Mode
By disabling all post-processing (e.g. motion smoothing) and preserving the correct aspect ratios, colors and frame rates, Filmmaker Mode enables your TV to display the movie or television show's content precisely as it was intended by the filmmaker
Smooth Motion and 144Hz Native refresh rate
Smooth Motion removes the digital 'noise' that can affect moving objects. The TV's native 144Hz refresh rate is the foundation for its 480 motion rate. These technologies work in concert to make fast-action scenes to ensure moving objects have minimal blurring
144Hz Game Mode Pro
All the most advanced gaming tech, all in this TV. HDMI 2.1 inputs recognize gaming sequences to automatically adjust settings for smooth, uninterrupted play. The automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), 144Hz variable refresh rate (VRR) and FreesSync Premium minimize input lag, screen jitter, and frame tearing
Dolby Vision Gaming
This television can support Dolby Vision for gaming at 4k 144Hz
Voice Remote
The voice remote control makes controlling your TV easier. Open apps, turn the volume up or down, search for your favourite shows. And if the actual remote goes missing, use the buttons on the TV to activate 'Find My Remote'.
Hands Free Voice Control
Put down the remote. Change the channel, find the latest movie, stream your favourite video and more with your voice. The quicker, easier way to find whatever you want to watch.
Google Assistant
The Google Assistant* is built into Google TV. Tell it to turn on the lights, change the thermostat, add stuff to your grocery list, or just play that video of your friend falling over for the millionth time. And with universal search, you can even get recommendations with Google TV.
Works with Alexa
This television works with Alexa through any of your Alexa-enabled devices. Just ask Alexa to switch the TV on or off, change channels and lots more
Bluetooth Connectivity
Wirelessly connect Bluetooth-compatible soundbars, headphones or stereo components to your TV. This quick and convenient connection eliminates unwanted and unsightly cords while providing a secure connection to your audio source

Straight up - if you're getting a TV of this size, PLEASE make sure you are positing it right! You're going to need it to be lower than you imagine as the goal is to watch TV in the middle of the screen. I can easily imagine this being mounted too high and it looking crappy.

This should be like a projector. Remember in school the teacher would pull it down and it would be a bit low? That was so you could sit in your chair and easily see it. Don't mount high!!!
Yes it was only made public 2 weeks ago at the CES 2024, came out faster than thought just happened to be on Best Buy site and was like is this real, someone will need to comment on differences between 2023 U8K and 2024 U7, I figure I can cancel if its big, but u8k 100" has been out of stock for a long time and it costs more
Not mini-LED from the description.

Based on actual size rather than class size, this TV has a 4.14% larger area compared to the TCL 98". 168.35 inches² more screen real estate. For those that need the numbers rather than trying to visualize the difference.

Dang thought this was the U8K for $3k again and almost purchased without without thinking.

U8K is worth the $1k premium over the TCL for $2k but don't think this one is from the looks of it. This looks similar or a little better than the TCL 98R754 which is also $3k.

bought 100" U8K last month. U8K has mini LED where U76 is QLED. U76 is just new build model with lower specs. I would highly recommend U8K over U76.

I just got the TCL 98in. It's good but I'd love the darks to be darker. Would the local dimming on this tv achieve that?
I know U8K would be better but Amazon lost my order..

Can you disable all the Google crap on this and just hook a Roku to it? The Google takes like a week to get past setup.

Just ordered from Bestbuy! Wish me luck. I feel bad because my Samsung 85" Q90C arrives tomorrow and now I will have to refuse the delivery.

Should have gone with an LG OLED.

Local dimming will increase the look of blacks, yes. It comes as a trade off oftentimes though as you'll get some detail loss/blooming (where light bleeds from a lit area into an unlit one) — the more dimming zones you have the less pronounced this is.

This is their cost down version. Non mini led, lower zones and lower brightness.

I think for a TV of this size going to around the top of the bottom 1/3 is fine. But agree- it's so easy to mount things too high because you see it all the time and think that's the best then you're straining your neck looking up.

Excellent point. When I had techs from Best Buy mounted my 85" TV in our basement last year I thought it was mounted too low because it was only about 6-12" above our TV stand. The tech said that it was mounted at the best viewing angle. It just didn't look right and I figured I would have to call them back out to remount it. However, when I sat down later and started watching TV it was actually mounted perfectly.

It strikes me as a bit insane to make a so-called budget line that cost $3,000. If you are at the point where you can spend that kind of money on a tv. You probably want the best...
the best in this case just being more production of the U8 instead of wasting time producing a slightly inferior model
