I think they mean the glass jar shattered and everything in the box had to be tossed.

Be Leary Ordering get this. I did last month and I believe it is what caused an "had to be returned to amazon" mid delivery causing me to lose half of my ss orders… oh sure they refund you but you lose any deal or coupons you had on the other items. They just tell you to re-order missing the whole point of the good deal you got.

I've had them cancel S&S items and it has not caused me to lose the S&S discount or coupons on other items.
One item cancelled should not impact a coupon on another item.

Honestly, this brand is probably the best store-bought brand if you're looking for the traditional italian taste. It doesn't have the manufactured taste like most of the other ones have. It almost tastes like my grandmother's homemade sauce.

Classico also has an organic version. Too expensive from Amazon but worth looking for if you have a Costco available.

Definitely not. I'm not sure how you cant tell this sauce has not been strewed for 3 - 4 hours. It doesnt even taste stewed, more like everything got thrown together and they relied on everything to mix together during the pickling process in the jars. Rao's would be the closest store bought sauce, and it's not close either.

You should have a good old school italian restaurant around you that actually cooks their sauce. Try theirs. (Assuming you live in or around a major city). Ask around which italian places actually makes their sauce from scratch. (Do this with mexican food places too)

But yeah, between all the preservatives they put in these now, and more preservatives to replace other (possibly) unhealthy preservatives over the last 15 years, it's hard to find anything canned or jarred that's like home made any more. Or if you live in an area that a local place makes it, jars it, and locally distributes and sales quickly, but those are usually refrigerated and has to be sold within 3 - 5 days. We had a place that did it, but Covid took them out.

Or large bottles of liquid detergent. I lost 8 S&S items last month. I do hope it leaked all over the delivery truck. Enjoy

I was able to get it for $1.84. Between this and Rao's, my two favorite sauces from a jar.

Thank OP!

Different strokes for different folks. I myself wouldn't call any canned/jarred foods homemade... As clearly they aren't...
