I ordered the cans of Swanson chicken from the deal a couple weeks back and there's just no way all that damage to those cans was unintentional. I'm not saying it was malicious, but there's no way in the world ordinary handling could result in that kind of damage. Of course Amazon wouldn't accept the return so I cheerfully opened the Chase app and charged it back. Amazon's tolerance for transit damage to the products they sell is unbelievable. I find it hard to believe that that is the most profitable way to do that.

Ordered this twice on Subscribe and Save and both times it arrived smashed with sauce and broken glass covering everything else in the box. The second time it happened I got Amazon to refund everything in the box but won't order again.

Both times?! Oh that's so frustrating. Definitely not worth the hassle.

This is why I'm reluctant, I don't want this shit all over my other S&S items.

Crazy they didn't do a refund, I have never had an issue with that on those circumstances

Yeah, I wasn't expecting that at all. Sold and shipped by Amazon, and they have to know that they deliver damaged packages all the time given that their distribution system that doesn't pay much attention to secure packaging. They said not returnable, not refundable, referred me to another page "for assistance" and was told the same thing. I wasn't going to call their customer service to be told that for a third time, so I just told Chase and they refunded it. I'll keep the package in the garage for week in case Amazon want to come and get it.

Same price in stores and you have a 50% chance it will be smashed upon intracontinental ground delivery handling.

I ordered something like this last time after my carefully built 5 items S&S super discount order and something broke in the box and destroyed all items and the shipment was returned to Amazon before delivery attempt. The only option was refund and I got my money refunded but the prices and coupons I used through the month to build my SD approved discounted cart had already expired and I was looking at triple the price to replace my items if I wanted to. All to save 25 cents off a jar of sauce. No thanks. But hey, you do you promoted SD paid post consumers. Living the SD dream buying sauce at the same price you buy in the store and waiting weeks for delivery only to wonder if it is smashed up! Smilie

I am convinced Amazon buy damaged seconds cans. I have had 12 pack of canned goods where the middle cans are dented badly.

That's crazy...yeah I have had a few issues like that, but usually they just refund it. Its kind of a crap shoot when I buy coffee from them, its usually a month or two from expiration. Anymore I just pay a few dollars more and get from Sam's club or Costco

Deal is dead for most flavors -- but, for some reason, Vodka sauce still comes out to ~$2.15.
