I love Rao's. Victoria is also very good. But, as a former broke college student, I remember the struggle, and in that context $2 beats $8-9 per bottle every time. So it's all relative to your current budget.

How do these compare to Prego? We get those here for $1.49 at Kroger when on sale quite frequently

This is not great pasta sauce. But for $2, it's hard to complain. Perfect for broke college students!

As an Italian, if you're going to buy sauce, it's Rao's or bust. It's more expensive but so much better than this or gross Prego. Hopefully Campbells doesn't mess up a good thing.

I'm a big fan of buying Classico in the cheaper pasta sauce category because their jars and lids are compatible with other mason jars and lids.

All those other cheap brands fill jars that everyone will end up throwing away anyway. At least with most Classico I have the option of reusable interchangeability if needed.

I'd really like to order this, but my last S&S shipment included two smashed jars of Smucker's jam creating quite a disaster on my doorstep as the box leaked, not to mention what the inside of the box looked like. I did get a refund from Amazon, but I just don't want to chance any more orders that include glass jars again.

Agreed. I just "received" 4 of these in my S&S. Each was wrapped in a thin bubble wrap. One had broken. Sauce was all over all of the other S&S items that month. It had also leaked out of the box and all over my front stoop and steps. I wouldn't order it again at any price.
