Almost all portable speakers some how sound like that way. There're videos on YT doing comparation this speaker, and it's one of the best.

I really like this speaker and highly recommend it. Ive had many Bluetooth speaker over the last decade and this is the best sound quality/base I've seen in this small form factor. I just bought a second one for "surround sound"

I purchased one of these new for $99 a while back and have been satisfied with it. I think the sound quality is good for being a durable handheld speaker at this price point. I also had an original sound link mini (supposedly better than the later versions) and was more impressed with that when it came out 10+ years ago but I would definitely recommend this at $59

Same here, maybe I have the version with a microphone but doesn't matter to me either way. I love the Soundlink Micros, and this is a stronger (and heavier) version. Sound quality is fine to me, typical BOSE feel. But I'm older and listen to a lot of audiobooks (as well as music) so perhaps I'm missing what others are complaining about.

I bought this to convert it into a "normal" carrying speaker and it is well worth the money:

I bought the mic version for my home office and instantly was a hit with the fam so they took it from me for use in the kitchen. No brainer getting a second one. Great speaker mostly for this price.

It's stereo sound. You'll notice the difference. I have this set and Logitech Ultimate Ears set too. These Bose speakers are more portable. I use Logitech pairs at home and these for travel.

According to the YT reviews, it is best to link them up. So, buy 2 or 5 and link them together for the better sound quality.

You're definitely the exception, this is probably the most well reviewed portable Bluetooth speaker close to the $100 price point. At $60, it's a heck of a deal. Buy 2 and run in stereo!

Ordered 2 for the stereo sound you guys have been praising on here. I have the little Sony XB13, and it's not bad, but I've always felt like it lacked just a bit. I have a comparably priced lesser known portable speaker, and it's good too, but it's the opposite of the Sony. It has too much bass, and it's a lot heavier and bigger.

Hoping the Bose will be a happy medium between the two.

I have one. I'm using it right now as a desk speaker while I work. I have the version with the mic. I bought it last year at the local Best Buy. Compared to the other floor models they had on display, this one had a better all around sound profile.

I love this speaker. I've used it all around the house, including on the back porch while having a drink or grilling. It sounds great no matter where I use it.
