You can do wireless casting on any phone I believe to any tv with google tv. But again I don't recommend using the phone in this deal or any other of these similar deals as an actual phone. They are cheap junk phones that's are good for nothing. It's the mobile data that's everybody here wants
EDIT: UNLESS- you want a phone for basic use like phone calls and calculator, texts. so no web browsing on YT or stuff like that. so if that's your use case go for it, but I do think Samsung may be a bit better.

My grand father is already on tracfone with some annual plan that expires in March 2024.
If I buy this phone for him (with unlimited talk/text), can the talk/text transferred to his existing tracfone? If yes, how?

You don't need to contact CS to do anything all can be done through website. I transferred my previous QVC deal to new $1 BYOP Dual Verizon/T-Mobile Sim Kit from Target.
