Check Howard Forums to see what transfers when you move it to another phone. I think at least the data should transfer, but you'd probably screw up the amount of min/texts/time remaining on the account if you've been accumulating years from other deals.
if want to use different phone with the plan once activate it you need new tracfone sim which is $1 at Target/Bestbuy in-store. Iphone and pixel can use ESIM. Bought Sim kit at Target it had Verizon and T-Mobile inside. T-mobile sim can be swapped without reactivating in each phone.

You will need to activate this phone first; the plan is tied to the imei + sim combo, and some CS will not activate it for you with a different imei.
After activation : If you don't plan to use this phone for anything - you can go ahead to switch phones. If you do want to get it unlocked : keep the plan / sim on this phone until 60 days after activation.
Either way : when you are ready to switch it to a new phone, you just pick up a new tracfone sim and then contact CS. You'd give them the details of your number; the new phone's imei and the new sim details. Note that your phone needs to be capable of activation on Verizon service; some international phone models may not "activate", even if they are usable.
I have had some success just moving the sim across to a different compatible phone earlier (about 2 years back) but have heard that they are requiring new sim now.

Yeah only annoying part is traxfone apparently doesn't let you swap sims. You have to buy a whole new SIM to transfer the 24 GB to a diff phone.

Has anyone here moved the 24 gig plan to a pixel 6a swim without customer service? I'm surprised by the traffic where this was $50 recently.
i used this method but select "Keep Your Own Phone" and "I want to keep my number" to move the plan on website it took 2 hours for balance to add on new sim card.

It asks for the New BYOP Sim Number and New Phones IMEI but doesn't use it on T-mobile sim. Account Shows My Phone Number with Unknown Device and T-Mobile TF 8901 Sim number.
