Few things to note about these:

They don't require the laptop have DP alt mode on the USB-C connector, which can be a plus, but this means the displays are using DisplayLink which is an abstraction layer built up on USB, and uses the CPU and GPU to render these displays in software. Which if your system is decently powerful and has a dedicated GPU, isn't really a huge issue, but if it has only CPU integrated graphics, DisplayLink performance can be quire terrible under certain conditions, like doing anything that's tasking the GPU with even something as "simple" as YouTube playback, and gaming is out of the question.

They're generally fine for most office uses, but gaming is not going to be a fun experience and if you have no dedicated GPU, even watching videos can lead to the display becoming a stuttering mess.

DisplayLink is useful, but it's not a replacement for a true display connection, like docks that connect over DisplayPort alt mode. But if your laptop doesn't have DP Alt Mode, this is the only way you're going to get a docking station, so it does have some uses.

If you have WalMart GC to burn, they have it also for $20, the seller being HP

Just a heads up, this is a displaylink dock.

Probably fine for most users and office use. Just be aware it will require additional drivers to output video to an external monitor, and you will not be able to drive dedicated GPU graphics to an external monitor with this dock if that is something you need.

I have been waiting a long time for a truly slick deal on some sort of USB-C docking station for my setup. This is perfect for switching back and forth from work XPS 15 to personal MBA 15 with just one cable. Thank you!

I was looking for one that supports mac dual monitor for my m3pro chip - will give a try with this one. The one that I already have has only one hdmi port and 2 display ports- m3 needs 2 hdmi for dual display.

Is the USB-C that I'll be using for power the only USB-C port on this dock?

(there's just so many different versions and pictures...)

Walmart shows $75.99. Looks like hp.com is the only option.

Someone posted this link earlier with a lot better pictures of this particular dock:
https://us.targus.com/products/us...dock192usz

Hope that helps. Looks like there is a second USB-C port.
