No way, I paid less than $800 for my S22 Ultra, I wouldn't pay $800 for S24 Ultra, it will be that price very soon. The original price of $1200+ is too high for S24U

That's a very good trade-in value from Samsung for a 6-year old phone (that they might be able to resell in bulk for $40)! Guess they really want to keep Note 8 users in the Sam fam.

Mine is a government employee account tho...
What I mean is the $150 Instant Samsung Credit was not deducted from the $1419.99. So is that credit you can use to purchase something else with at Samsung.com?

This is upsetting, because I have a Note10+ as my daily phone, and have been looking for a good trade-in deal for it. Three days ago I dropped my phone in the bath while the kids were on a call with their grandmother. I've dropped the phone in water a handful of times in the past, but this time it didn't make it. Over the course of three days, the screen got worse and worse, and now is no longer functioning. This means my phone is no longer eligible, and this would have been a good upgrade.
Do you have verizon?

I know for a fact tmobile will give you 1000 off the s24 ultra for a note 8. I traded in an s10e for 1k off. Idk what the hell OP is talking about.
OP is probably referring to one of the legacy plans while you're talking about Go5G

so i thought the same about the note 10+ being "waterproof". This is not the case as i went to a waterpark and water got on the phone and caused issues. I don't know if your damage is severe, but I replaced the charging port board and this resolved the issue. I think you can also replace the motherboard as well.

Thank you, and yes, confirmed $1000 credit. Looking at the details, that will be $1000 credit over the span of three years. Going from my $25/mo plan to the cheapest ATT plan of $65/mo, the increase of the plan cost will exceed the amount I'm saving from my current plan.

Thanks for looking out, though.

I've allowed my kids to use my phone as a boombox too many times, and there are many cracks on the back case. When I went in to debug the problem, the back came off when I pulled on it. This usually requires heat and minutes of work. I'm not surprised water got in given how easily I was able to pull the back off. Through my debugging, I'm 90% sure the screen needs to be replaced. I can buy one for ~$120 and do it myself, but given it's water damage, I'd be more comfortable buying a new phone. I had the phone for four years. It was a good run. I'll do my best to keep my new phone from the kids. I purchased the Samsung A15 for $40 to use as my phone until I find a good deal on a flagship. The kids can play with the A15 once I'm done with it, or I'll just get a small portable JBL speaker. Lesson learned.

Wait. It's not a big difference between 23 and 24, the screen I see it's flat, if you like that. Other than that, if your 23 is good, I'll wait. I've seen deals in the past $1000 back for second generation phones versus $750 now. I'm sure there will be many other sales ..
The price can only go down on electronics. Phones are not an investment, give it a couple of months and you'll see another sale. Many will refuse to buy, if no selling offer is available, so they'll be forced to come back with better offers. Got it? Good.
