As far as I can see that's only for existing customers

No way, I paid less than $800 for my S22 Ultra, I wouldn't pay $800 for S24 Ultra, it will be that price very soon. The original price of $1200+ is too high for S24U

That's a very good trade-in value from Samsung for a 6-year old phone (that they might be able to resell in bulk for $40)! Guess they really want to keep Note 8 users in the Sam fam.

Is that $1000 credited monthly for 36 months?
Correct monthly. The Samsung credits are a little more lucrative, but they want newer phones. I was able to get an s10e for 150 online and traded it in for the 1000 off. Then next year I'll just get my gfs upgrade as hers is up next Feb on the same promotion 1000 off that they had when the s23 ultra came out.

If they rather pay Samsung double the price, instead of taking 5mins to get the Fi deal, let them. Ironic since dealing with Samsung trade-ins, their quirky website takes a lot longer, and some even buying old eBay phones to trade in. I just don't get it. SMH.

Herd mentality is in full effect on this thread. Samsung deals of yesteryears were amazing, but those days are gone, and this ain't one of them. This is worst than S23 launch.

All those trading in s23 ultra, Z5 and still paying $400+ will have buyer remorse, and fast, when Samsung increases trade-in values on S23U, Z 5 series to $1000 in the next 6 weeks, along with freebies. Guaranteed it will happen.
The Fi deal is only valid for existing Fi customers, which the vast majority of people are not. If you're just signing up you're locked in to Google Fi for 2 years. If you only use 1GB of data per month and so can swing the $30 plan, then sure that's decent, but if you use 3-4GB or more and so are paying $60 a month, it's not a good deal for folks on prepaid for under $40. I ran the numbers for my situation across Fi, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Samsung with prepaid, and the latter came out far ahead. If you're on family plans or are in some situation where prepaid doesn't work for you, then these other deals can be good, but it's not as black and white as you make it.

Deal ends? When I redirected from OP's link, the total showed $450 for s24+, but after clicking exactly as instructed, the price went back to original price $900+

Returned buds for 250 on gift card

Fwiw I have a grandfathered plan with tmo and they require a plan change to trade in so I traded using student acct on samsung.com

If you send a trade-in for $400, and Samsung doesn't accept it as $400, but could pass for $200, do they charge you the extra $200 and keep the phone or do they reject the whole thing and charge you the $400 and send you back the phone?

They offer 1 amount with cracked screen and diffrent amount for phone free of cracks.

In either condition phone needs to be factory reset and working.

I always make a video of me packing phone in working order and never have an issue.

To answer your question they'd return your trade in and charge the amount

I trade-in a note 3 for $400 credit for s24 ultra in the second day sale after edu discount got for $765+tax, but was 100 less the first day but could order it due to website glitch. Hopefully, the trade-in goes well.
Lucky. Note 3 and Note 4 don't even show up as an option for me to trade in.

Who is your wireless carrier? These numbers are all highly correlated to current trade in promotions. Spectrum mobile just gave me $850 in trade for my S22 5G towards The S24 ultra for example.

Why do you get why?

Phones have insane amount of memory needs for people like me that like to take videos and pictures, apps keep going up and memory, yet my Note 4 with an SD card had way more memory then the s23 I have.

There's phones out there with memory card slots just not Samsungs
Because they are slow, negatively effect the consumer experience for people who put an SD card in their phone and wonder why it's slow and mistakenly install apps to the sd card and they aren't fast enough to keep up with 4k video capture anyway. Get the 1TB model if you really need it and keep a laptop to dump the files to. The people who need over 1TB of storage on a phone are so little they aren't going to add the SD card back.

For my area fi is expensive and with poor signal, so not a great option.

Yeah spectrum deal was $700 minimum trade in towards s24 but only for current spectrum internet customers I believe. I traded in a note 3 for $705
I'm a current spectrum Internet customer.
You get the phone for cheap but then also have to go with their mobile service.

Great deal is you are planning to switch out from your current cell service provider.

Many people have recommended I look into Verizon and ATT, given I have a broken phone and they both will offer $1000 trade-in value with a 3 year commit. I went to both of my local stores, and both have recommended I stay on my $25/mo plan and buy the phone full price. I love the honesty from both sales people, and I already knew that was true. I was thinking maybe they could sweeten the deal either by reducing my monthly payment for a new plan or add in some goodies. They could not.

As of now, given I cannot get any trade-in for my broken Note10+ without committing to a plan, it seems the best financial decision is to buy from Amazon where I can get $200 off + 5% back. This is assuming I want an S24 Ultra now. I could always wait or get a more affordable phone.

Exactly and spectrum is notorious for raising prices and have only 5gb before throttling speeds
