No way, I paid less than $800 for my S22 Ultra, I wouldn't pay $800 for S24 Ultra, it will be that price very soon. The original price of $1200+ is too high for S24U

That's a very good trade-in value from Samsung for a 6-year old phone (that they might be able to resell in bulk for $40)! Guess they really want to keep Note 8 users in the Sam fam.

Some of you had comments about my recent water damage to my Note10+, and I want to give an update. After a few days of the screen mostly not working (turns green or not on at all), I plugged it into my car to see if Android Auto would work. Sure enough, somehow that got the screen to display (it was still tinted green). Android Auto would not work, it was saying something about the usb device not being supported.

Anyway, now that the screen was on, I enabled the screen to never sleep when plugged in the developer settings. For the last two days, I've been using the phone plugged in, and it almost is fully functional.

* The screen now turns on and off (plugged in and not plugged in) without any issue, no flicker, no green tint
* The fingerprint reader is fully functioning (that stopped working about 24 hours after the screen first shown signs of issue with green tint)
* The phone is no longer randomly receiving input (it would randomly detect screen touch and volume up/down and power presses)
* Android auto is working

The only issue that is remaining (and I assume will not resolve) is part of the screen is not detecting finger input. I assume one of the digitizers on the screen for finger touch is broken. The s pen continues to work on that part of the screen.

It's very interesting how water damage plays out. Given it's water damage, I assume I'm not fully out of the water (pun intended). When I was debugging the damage, I did dry out the internals and cleaned connectors and components with alcohol.

My S24 Ultra was shipped this morning.

I traded my old Galaxy Note 4 via Verizon, and they valued it for $945.
And, they allowed me to keep my current Welcome Unlimited Plan.
So, I am getting 3x S24 Ultra for $30/mo extra for 36 months.

If you like your current Verizon plan and don't want to change it, this can be one of the rarest moments to upgrade.

I'm a longtime Google Fi person. I seen it late I know. But I just found out, I have to be on the plan I'm not on, of course. I'm on Plus and i must be on flex or unlimited. I can't change till next month, so I'm out of luck. I'll probably leave Google Fi just cause I'm pissed. LOL. I'm looking at other deals now. I'm a Vet, so maybe T mobile will be it.

How about get it with your current plan without any promotion, stay with that payment plan for 3months, port out to T-mobile with Bring your own device promotion and get the remaining phone balance with GoogleFi paid off? I saw that T-mobile promotion was up to $850, I believe.

It won't be down to 800 for a year at least (new and factory unlocked). S23U are still selling in the 700's even with the S24 released.

i received my S24 ultra (UNLOCKED) and just found out that it no longer lets you use the mobil hotspot feature that the unlocked version use to allow. yes if you bought the verizon or tmobile version you have to pay for that feature but the unlocked version allowed it. no longer so i am returning it
