I have been thinking about upgrading to a carlinkkit max which with is a build-in android device which apparently remove a lot of the AA restriction and basically makes the head unit an android tablet.

twice I had to "reboot" it, this was in a Ford.
may have to get one of the carplay options as I miss the wireless connection.
I'm asking because in my Kia Niro, the head unit would continue to provide power to the USB port, and this thing would be connected to the phone when I went into the house. It would never stop Android Auto.

Only issue I found is that at times, it prefer to connect to the iPhone inside the house than the Android inside the car. Haven't figured out how to prioritize AA or CP if we have both devices in the car.
Finding one for a good price is Amazon is difficult. I got mine from Lightinthebox [lightinthebox.com]for $40 shipped within a week or 10 days. Found a coupon code from a old slickdeals thread (coupon still worked)
