They are same on the efficiency. But hair dryer is louder.

I'll ask the question but doesn't a 50 ft tall 1500 watt heater still only put out the same BTU?

A hair dryer with remote control? Interesting concept.

Hmm, this looks to be the exact same heater as the Honeywell I have except it has a remote.

As soon as I found out it was 13 inches tall I decided to pass. Good size for a playhouse.

I would imagine the hair dryer isn't built to be run four hours on end and would break sooner than a purpose built space heater. Who can do a comparison/review and post it on youtube?

Really good actually. I have a bad window in my bedroom that needs to be replaced and as a result my room will be 5 degrees or so colder on one side than the other and I put my Honeywell on low and it gets toasty to the point where I have to shut it off in half an hour or less and that's with it set to 72 degrees. I have another in an unfinished part of my basement where I have my sauna and it gets cold in that room and I run it while I am in the sauna so I don't go from hot to cold when I get out and it works well.

All 1500 watt ones put out 5120 BTU. If it 5" or 2 ' tall. Some got a fan on them that might use some of the wattage.

A hair dryer can be more than 1500 watt because 1500 watt is the most a continuously operating appliance can use.

This heater is equipped with a tip-over safety feature. Once the heater is tipped over, an internal switch will automatically shut the heater off.

Ever tried window cover film and/or sealing tape? We use them in our drafty home.
