I use nasal strips every night. In my experience, the tan ones stick better than these clear ones. The clear ones have a more plastic feel to them. However, at less than 23 cents per strip, this is a pretty good deal. This is the best brand to go with also. Other brands and cheap knock-offs do not stick as well. These are also good when you're home and your nasal passages are congested, they help you breathe easier. For better sticking power, wash/rinse your nose skin beforehand, then dry with a towel before applying. To remove, S L O W L Y peel off of your skin. If you do it too quickly, it'll feel like you've taken some skin off as well (not pleasant.)

I agree with the eval. The tan ones stick better. Walmart brand is not good. Kroger brand is better. Costco had a 72 pack a couple months ago at a great price so watch for the sales. I bought 2.

Wondering how much of an overlap there is between people that use these and people that should be using a CPAP machine...

I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea, and picked up a CPAP machine and all that recently. Really helps and I get better quality sleep in less time most nights. I tried these nasal strips some years ago and they supposedly helped reduce my snoring a bit... But I think using cpap probably helps me a lot there too.

Thoughts?
Strips can't and will not reduce snoring or sleep apnea.

While we're on the topic of nasal strips and CPAP machines I thought it would be good to mention that mouth tape has really helped my sleeping. It's really worth a shot before you jump to getting a CPAP machine.

You're right about sleep apnea, but these can help with light snoring, especially if it's short-term congestion-based snoring.

These worked for me well, to the point it was a nightly routine. Although if this is a chronic issue for you like it was for me, I highly suggest going to your doctor and ask if RhinAer is an option. It's a little wand they put in your nose that shoots some magic frequencies in it and opens up the airway. I honestly don't understand how it works but I have it done every 6 months now and have no issues day or night. Hope that helps somebody.

I'm an extremely loud snorer. Terrible. Wakes people up.
My wife said after I used this, my snore is a whisper.
So I will anecdotally disagree, this is a huge help for even heavy snorers...and the family, lol.
But agreed, sleep apnea is the next level -- strips may help (some people may inadvertantly be waking themselves up during the night because of their snoring), but it generally needs more intervention than a strip.

You can always use a couple of drops of super glue on each strip to hold it better on your nose then just rip it off in the morning
I find liquid nails works better.

Most people probably already know about this, but I just started wearing these at night when I'm sick. Being able to breathe well while sick and sleeping Health hack.

Actually, the clear ones do just fine, for me. I started out using the tan strips, but as I've gotten older, the skin on my nose has gotten a bit more tender, and using those stronger strips now will, quite literally, remove skin when I take the strip off in the morning. Since I shower at night, my nose is not oily when I put these on, and they work great.
As already mentioned, "Clear Passage" brand work pretty well, too.

I have been using breathe right for years, recently switched to intake and while intake is more expensive, I found it to be more effective and less irritating to the skin

Strips will not help with sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is not a nasal problem. The same applies to "real" snoring- not a nasal problem. Now, if someone makes some noises in their nose and call that snoring, sure.

The extra strength clear breath right I bought from Costco last year have half the strength of the extra strength tan breath right. I have no idea why that is.

Adding on to the generic hate, the clear ones from Target are awful and constantly fall off in the night. Is there no good quality generic option? Sam's Club has these generic extra strength tan ones at 44ct for $9.50:

BJ's and Costco have the branded 72ct packs for $20 and that seems to be about it in the bulk size offerings.

Any good recommendations on mouth tape? I tried the CPAP and kept ripping off the mask in the middle of the night like a cat with a cast on its paw. No matter what I did the damn thing ended up on the floor.

Cpap and nasal strips every night. Good combo to be able to function next day
