Yea they never seem to have the tools I need when I need them. Always lent out.
Or missing so many parts to classify as scrap metal.

I had to pinch myself when I saw this deal, to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Better to beat free tools to shit then your own.
True, but I take care of my tools.
Plus there is still literally almost 80 miles of total driving for me to go to the nearest auto parts store, borrow their shitty tool and borrow or buy the adapters that don't come with it from there, and then return it. Using the federal mileage rate, that's over $50 right there, and after I used the Amazon rewards points I had, this cost me $18. So next time I need it, I wont have to borrow the one from work, which is good, because I retired a year ago and moved 300 miles away, lol.

This is for a serious DIYer - don't see myself ever replacing a bearing assembly.

If you have rust, these are 50/50 at best.

Is this compatible with all type of cars? I started doing DIY and haven't started on brake/axle/etc...

I only did bake fluid change and a valve cover lol

I've got around using one for years using other types of threaded pullers when possible but I guess it's time to buy one..
When a decent 10 or more ton porta power shows up here, I'll bite on that too.

This is brute force tool. The threads will end up stripping eventually no matter what.

I don't know about you but my repairs are planned ahead. I don't wait for tow rescues before fixing a worm component.

So I plan things within my normal routes.

True. Last wheel bearing I did on a Midwest car took two slide hammers, one of which was free Autozone rental that I ended up breaking, shit ton of heat from a propane torch and 1.5 hours of banging away at it.

yes they make you pay for the tool so people don't just steal them. You get full refund when you return. Net cost = $0

I have 3 parts stores within 5 miles. Borrowed same slide hammer 5 times already. Makes zero sense to pay $65 for this and I pull engines in my garage.
Why don't you value your time?

I needed this desperately back when I had front wheel drive cars and too much horsepower. I'm buying it just because the guy who showed me to replace my axles every year told me to pass the knowledge on. He's gone now, and if I use this even once to help someone else I've honored his memory.

Is there a non automotive use for one of these? Like something that a DIY homeowner would use it for?
May be to replace a bearing on your direct drive washing machine? Just a guess...
