Haven't used these specific ones, but have similar ones below and am pleased. Bought one set with the auto shut-off and one with manual valves. One of black pieces split and started leaking, but it was because I forgot it outside during sub-zero weather. So my fault rather than defect. Have used them two years, I think.

I have these and love them. They work for their intended purposes and save time. They do not corrode/bind up like metal ones. Great if you have harder water!

I'm in the process of cutting off a metal one because it got corroded and stuck to my garden hose. Think I'm going to go with plastic crap so when it fails, it's easier to remove

Brass and aluminum will fuse. Either use aluminum and aluminum or brass and brass fittings. Plastic will work with anything but fragile.

Does this reduce the water flow?

Yep. But most of them do. Very few are designed with max water flow in mind, though they certainly do exist at least from both from Dramm and Eley off the top of my head.

Same here. I thought metal wouldn't be better but I have since learned my lesson.

some teflon tape will solve that. Particularly in cases where it will be on there for a very long time, like In the case of quick disconnect fittings.

use some teflon tape. have the durability of the metal quick connects, without the difficulty of removal. you will really only be installing them once since once they are installed, they will be on there semi permanently.
