Just a heads up that this took the whole 30 days for me to get an email for the $5 credit so be patient.

I had the same experience with a toothpaste purchase. Took exactly 30 days before I was emailed and the credit showed up in my account.
This seems to be the new thing. Is this to prevent people getting a credit right away and then returning the product?

In my experience, the credit just shows up in your checkout payment total when you try to purchase something after the date the credit was supposed to hit. No idea if there's somewhere else to see the credits. Amazon is a black box for this stuff.

Probably makes sense to set a calendar reminder (like someone else suggested) for the credit date and then check your next Amazon purchase after that date to make sure you got it. Potentially a lot of hassle for five bucks.
