Not sure if Ryobi has fixed it in the past year, but past mentions of this saw on SD bring out the same complaints: the roller guides do not fit the blade properly, causing it to wander like a drunken sailor in port.
I have one, and it's true: the saw is comically difficult to control with any precision. I'm no stranger to woodworking and jigsaws, and using thus one feels like someone is punking you.
The brushless Ryobi jigsaw and Ridgid siblings all use a different roller guide, and all work 100% as expected. This one? Not so much. You can get the job done with it, but it's an exercise in frustration.
Otherwise I'm all-in on Ryobi tools, and have never had an issue with the brand, but beware this one: Unless Ryobi updated it, it really only has any worth as a freebie in a kit.
Here's a link to a past discussion on this same deal:

(TL/DR, you might want to wait for a deal on the brushless one instead.)
