OP needs to make this clearer, esp. since gift cards purchased online aren't processed by Office Depot and so don't qualify for the offer.

I see that eGCs are through Cashstar so won't qualify, but physical (mailed) GCs through the giftcardmall.officedepot.com domain won't trigger the offer either?

This is from the terms of my offer:
Offer valid online only at US website officedepot.com. Excludes orders placed online for in-store pick up. Excludes ODP Business Solutions and OfficeMax military stores. Excludes gift card purchases, donations made to the Office Depot Foundation and Buyer Initiated Payments (BIP) and invoicing.

There's a banner at the top of that site:
Note this is a partner site, separate from your Office Depot Business or Rewards account

Offer terms aside, that pretty much guarantees that the payment will be processed by a different merchant, not Office Depot, and thus not qualify.

The usual way to check this is: can you check out a regular item and the gift card in the same shopping cart? If not, the gift card won't qualify because it will code as a different merchant.

I've bought through there before, when they ran deals for Visa gift cards, and while it will have office depot in some form in the merchant listing, it won't code as Office Depot. It won't even trigger as an office supply store.
