FreeTaxUSA is very limited and will not handle most personal income tax returns. In addition, it is a web-based software and you agree to share your personal information for marketing purposes. Not worth the risk of security issues and risking personal information.

It's my understanding that all of the versions support all of the forms, the difference is their wizards that help you to complete said forms. So for example you could use Deluxe to manually fill out a Schedule E, but if you want to use their rental income wizard you'd need Premium.

Or am I misunderstanding?
The wizards are there for everything as far as I can tell. Never had to drop down to manually filling forms (although that is possible!). I would love to see some evidence (screenshots)that the wizards are different, but I just can't find it anywhere.

What if I have to file two states? Should I buy it twice with discount?

Don't think that's possible since the Software only takes one promo code. However, you should be able to do it if you do it on two different devices with two different purchases.

That's what I thought. Buy two products and activate different states

Which better deals for deluxe are you referring to? Could you please share the links/posts? Is one of them this deal $35 with $20 GC? Thank you?

This isn't true, it works fine with 1099-DIV and 1099-B and does an ok job importing from PDF. Backdoor IRA was easier then turbotax. What did you have a problem with?

You are the man! How am I supposed to do with the first state as not activating state? I thought you can only activate and download state filing once per copy

While preparing your federal income on the first computer, when you get to State, click skip
