The reference is to a style of ad for Holiday Inn Express about 15 years ago. The schtick is someone is ostensibly an expert in something, but it turns out they're just smart and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. https://youtu.be/oi2zQLAnRcQ

i'm returning mine and will look out for deals on the xm4 because those appear more similar in design to the older ones i had and they have wider/thicker headband cushioning.
I use them every day, sometimes all day.
I previously had the XM2s, so I was already familiar with them.
I suggest everyone who buys these look up a recommended equalizer level to get the best audio, though.
The stock and preset sound settings were not to my tastes, but messing with the equalizer a bit made them sound awesome.

But for those that also have them, when you have them on your ears, and turned on but don't turn the sound canceling....it seems like they "pump in" the outside noise (I'd use the analogy of like listening to a sea shell) anyone else notice this? Definitely not a deal breaker but just....interesting

I love my refurb purchase of these, and having that 2 yr warranty puts my mind at ease (not bc my copy has issues, but bc peace of mind!)
