It's suggested to check for water leaks before you do so. The power of the battery washers is much less than typical washers making it safe to use in the bathroom (especially the 18v if worried but the 40v is more useful outside) but I don't use the 40v high powered nozzle on direct caulk. Just use the general spray then go behind it with this tool to be safe and direct nozzle elsewhere. I haven't had issue using it directly on flooring grout once a year but usually general nozzle every 3 months or so, slightly more in shower.

Works good having a shop vac and squegee/fans if you don't have a linear drain.

The Ryobi can be submerged in up to 3' of water. That Amazon special can not.

I would buy this, but I really despise "hacks". Maybe it will show up on DTO factory blem. I can live without it until then.

Seems kinda gimmicky. Just buy a scrubber attachment for your existing drill for a few bucks and use a spray bottle.

Tried the pole version some years ago. I didn't realize the trigger was click-on/click-off but the performance left a lot to be desired so it doesn't matter anyway. Don't apply pressure, almost no cleaning of the shower. Pressure, the motor doesn't have the torque. Returned. It's the only Ryobi product I've ever been unhappy with.

If I had to deal with a sufficiently wet environment I could see use for this. Sticking a brush in my Ryobi drill works far better on the shower.
