How do these compare intensity wise to Starbucks espresso beans?

I find this odd (again). "Sold by Amazon" listings with different prices (see attached screenshot). These are the non-subscribe-and-save prices, BTW.

Which grinder do you guys use to get the fine expresso grind. The costco grinder does not get fine enough

Similar grind as a brick from bustelo
we have the hand Kingrinder k4 to go with our Delonghi machine, works very well. We had the OXO bur grinder prior and it did not grind fine enough for espresso.

The espresso italiano beans are great in our 3200's. At times I've found them on clearance at Costco for $7/kg. These Rosso beans are a bit sweeter and perhaps just a tad of a lighter blend. They make great americanos.

Do you know which Lavazza beans are good for something darker than the espresso Italiano ones? I tried them and did like the taste but I do like something a bit darker in my cappuccinos.

Highly recommend a 1zpresso Jmax or similar (research them). It's a hand grinder but will get you similar grinds to an automatic 500-600$ machine grinder.

Give the Gran Crema or Super Crema a go. I very much enjoy those as well.

Crema e Gusto is fun to throw into the rotation as well.

I'd avoid Top Class, it's the only Lavazza blend I thought was too oily.

qualita rossa is a different flavor note
lower intensity, so you need more beans
per cup to get full coffee zest from it.
under $14/lbs is a good deal on rossa.

Huh?
Rossa was recently <~$5/#

Does anyone know how it compares to Lavazza Espresso Italiano? That has become our go-to in our Phillips 3200

Interesting... Everyone I know finds those OVER-Roasted and bitter. I like dark roasts, but I will never buy Espresso Italiano again. I guess that just proves different tastes...

i've bought a hundred bean bags over the past decade from amazon, and noticed anything offered under $5/lbs (including amazon's house brands) will be near it's expiration date. even though we didn't see any date feedback on that thread, i'm confident the 5 sacks anyone there managed to get were sitting somewhere in distribution over a year and showed up with outgas bloated bags. my guess here is anyone who snagged a single $13 rossa will still have 9-15 months left till it's use date.
