Just a noob question. My old router had plenty of ethernet ports so I never had to buy an ethernet switch. Now my new router only has 1 ethernet port which goes to my PC. Do I need to spend this much if I just want extra slots for my xbox and PS5 in the same room? My internet speed is 300 Mbps. I know there is this one for $19. Anybody have an idea if the one linked below would be fine for my needs?

Quote from JamieL2159 :
When you purchase the camera, look at how much they draw, it'll be listed for the camera. Just don't exceed that total budget. Other than very expensive or power hungry cameras you will not have a problem.

That gets deep real quick. If you want to record and store the footage from those cameras then you have to also consider what storage to use. One easy (but a little pricey) option is to go with Ubiquiti as the ecosystem. For just a few cameras around the house you would buy the cloud key Gen 2 plus (UCK-G2-PLUS) and put a hard drive in there. Then buy Ubiquiti cameras and adopt them from your cloud key. I run the G3 flex cameras at my house off of one of these exact switches. PM me if you get stuck. There are many ways to go, including standing up a blue iris instance on your network and recording using RTSP. Hopefully some other people can give you their ideas too
