Will this work with the tops from other manufacturers? I have an old table with a bad motor and was wondering if I could buy this frame and switch the old top to the new frame

I have the Monoprice version of this which I believe is the exact same frame and I have a 72"x36" top on it.

From what I gather on reddit their desks on amazon are older generations ie this one is what used to be E4 (which is comparable to the E5), just an older generation frame?

Glass desks really really suck! They collect dust, smudges, you have to be careful, can easily chip then cut yourself once it's chipped, its cold and it's just all bad. Go for a non glass desk.
