Literally bought at 50c a serving a few years back
Resulting Yogurt ==> Solid part containing Casein protein + sour liquid part containing Whey protein (ratio like 1:3 or more for Greek yogurt)
Throw away liquid part to satisfy the 1st world tongue and make people obese (since it has less protein); pollute the ground complaining even our cattle cannot drink it (in other parts of the word folks consume it as a natural part of yogurt) -- https://www.onegreenpla
Capitalist round-about solution: We will make low fat yogurt with synthetic stuff.
We will extract whey protein from the liquid part deemed to be a waste to sell to the unsuspecting guys and gals for an arm and leg; well, when you get strong with the whey protein, you can live with just one
By the way, I thought I posted about 12% salt content and it seemed to have disappeared .

It really is 270mg of salt. which is a very small amount. for the demographic that this product is generally marketed towards (people that train) they need sodium. GRAMS of it.

Yes, I know 12% is RDA of salt from the 30% protein that I would get from whatever they want me to eat. (serving size). 2000 calorie is not arbitrary but a ballpark number. If you add this and that most eat, it adds up. Further a trick used in most commercial food packages is to make the serving size smaller than what one would normally eat or need so that they can make it less dangerous than what they really are.
And from what I know (I am a Ph.D. researcher and rest in my household are physicians), it is the balance in Na and K that is more important (DO schools seem to emphasize that more than the Allopathic medicine) even for body builders and athletes. Research on the origin of Gatorade by the inventor / physician and it's evolution over time. It is interesting to read, what were the initial composition (and how taste and commercial interests took over).
Even FDA keeps revising (mostly upwards) what one should consume because the old numbers would make 99% of us look st_pid. https://www.ncbi.nlm.ni
