I have this Sovol SV06 printer. I got it for Christmas last year (2023) and I had zero 3d printing experience prior to owning this, so I've had it for like 1 month now and my super short review is that I like it and find it easy to use and would buy again.

I purchased this SV06 after reading a recommendation on Reddit [reddit.com] and I haven't been disappointed. I have had a lot of successful prints and very few failed ones (although I haven't tried to print anything big that would take over 8 hours). I wouldn't say that it's been perfect but it has still been easy to tweak and get working right as a beginner. I just did a 5015 fan mode for the hot end [printables.com] this morning and did a couple of small prints and a bed level test [printables.com] and it seems to help things print just a little more smoothly. I also added a Raspberry PI and loaded OctoPrint [octoprint.org] (pretty easy with the Raspberry PI imager [raspberrypi.com]) so that I could print to the device wirelessly without having to swap out the microSD card each time I wanted to print something new

If you do buy this printer, check out this guys page for some setup tips, tweaks, and troubleshooting: https://sv06.blakadder.com/

OP literally said it's close to the best price for this model but comes with the added benefit of being sold through Amazon so you're dealing with their return process.

It's not the best deal ever for it, but it's still a good deal.

I have two Prusa MK3S+, two SV06+, and Bambu PS1 and A1 w/AMS. I started years ago with an Ender 3 Pro that I tricked out. I loved that printer, but I tell people to stay away from it unless they LOVE tinkering as much as the idea of printing.

My Prusas have been workhorses. I built both but did not enjoy it. In hindsight, I probably would have spent extra to pay for assembled, BUT I think Prusa has been left behind a bit. Mainly with cost.

To me, Sovol has been the best value right up there with Bambu. If my P1S had not been down for so long with an annoying error, I'd rank it higher because Bambu really changed the game.

With all that said, I'm in for one of these. Almost as cheap as the lowest price, especially with my 5% back from Amazon card. With the return options and speed of shipping, this is going to be a great option when other printers are down, or even to keep going non-stop.

This or SV06+ are the best value and bang for your buck, especially when on sale. Easy setup and beginner friendly. I also had a problem with one, but I was sent parts twice. Communication was a bit slow, but I got it back up and running.

I got one of these a few weeks ago and I've been very happy with it. I'm surprised how well it works and how many features it has at this price point, it's been an almost turnkey solution.

Promo just worked for me. Just click "redeem" under the price. No need to enter in the code at checkout, it's applied automatically.

Plus owner here and I will say I have done a good 5-6 rolls and the only thing I can complain about is the grub screw on the direct just came undone. Super impressed for the $$ and pretty decent spec out the box

I don't know, but it seems Amazon's return process is getting worse all the time. I tried to return something the other day and UPS pickup was the only way. And of course my friendly neighborhood UPS only picks up during mid-morning, when everyone else is also out working. It took multiple calls to Amazon customer service to get a mailing label for UPS dropoff, and even that was a sketchy hack. It's almost as if they didn't want you to return stuff 😉

Please don't put Prusa in description unless it is apart of the deal

All my 3D printing Youtubers say this is the new hotness, and most people should probably buy this instead of an Ender 3. Anybody here have experience with Sovol printers? It looks like they're the same company as Comgrow now, or maybe they merged with them or something.

$204.85 total for me after tax with the clipped code - located in Fort Worth, TX. Think I'll wait... They had a deal a year or so ago where you buy enough filament and you get a free printer. Maybe again soon??

I've got the SV06 plus and it's fantastic. I even had to deal with their customer service and they were surprisingly good. Their response time was a bit slow because it was clearly a China-based team but that just means they got back to me at night rather than during the day.

I don't disagree. As a PSA if it's sold and shipped by Amazon then you'll have a decent return period and process. If sold and/or shipped by a merchant then the merchant can set some of the return conditions like for this item.
