Very little online reviews on these. Clarks is not known for hiking footware.

They look the part but "Durable Rock" and "Mimic Grip" technology seems to be marketing terms. There's nothing proprietary nor I could find any patents unlike Vibram's outsoles. However that doesn't mean they are a bad boot. $80 isn't bad for GTX boot. Friendly 60 day return policy to "boot" with free return shipping via FedEx.

If you are a serious hiker, Never buy a hiking shoe from a company that doesn't specialize in making them.

But if you are someone who buys an SUV and never takes it off road, go for deals on any brand claiming to be a hiking shoe maker

I have had a couple pairs of leather casual shoes. Nothing memorable, maybe lower than Rockports
