Budget 85" - don't expect anything special. Probably fine for kids or general viewing. Serious viewing is probably a mistake. IMO if you're looking for a TV to watch movies on in a dark room at least get a model with local dimming.

Definitely go with mini led or oled
This is a HUGE TV for $800, and if size is all you are concerned with, get it. Just know that is where all the $$$ is going, this has very low picture quality, no good features, no bells and whistles.
But again, if all you care about is size, this thing prob can't be beat in price to size ratio.
I use this with a Roku stick and Klipsch 600 sound bar with subwoofer.
If your main requirement is size, ie. want a really big TV, keep an eye on Hisense and TCL 90in - 100in deals.
Some people don't see a difference but in my opinion the other spec you should pay attention to is it being 120Hz instead of 60Hz. Samsung has great TVs but I would also recommend taking a look at the Sony TVs with XR Clear.

Of course that will be the day when more people have imax sized ceilings in their own homes.
Good deal for the size and brand...maybe as good as the Hisense 85" $600 deal from costco previous weeks.
But agree with many people here... it may be better to wait & save up more another $500+ to $1000+ for something with a little more higher end features etc. Things to look for are higher motion eg. 120hz and higher nits brightness closer to 900 and above, miniled or oled, and the best possible black levels and contrast ratio in regards to hdr10+ and dolby vision.
Kinda but with a few more $$ u can get a better spec TV from samsung
