The metal filter before the paper filter does clog quickly, but after breaking it in removing the canister is quick. Only recommendation I have is if you plan to use both dry and wet make sure to buy separate filters.
For battery life usually takes me 5-10 minutes to get the car and I turn it off when i'm not actually vacuuming and I usually get 2-3 car cleaning sessions out of it before needing to charge the 2 mah battery I got with it.

I'd only buy this if you really need the wet vac part, because the regular dry vac part is just plain weak. The non-wet vac version of this (PCL704) has almost twice the CFM.
Even if you do the cancel hack to get it for $21, I'd say you're merely getting what you pay for at that price.

"The design is useless, I only suck dust, no water with this vac. The option is there is I need to vacuum water. Everything looks good in there instruction video.
But this vac is trash, the suction may seems strong at times but your only fooling your self."
