I would avoid Kwikset like the plague. I've had them for 23 years and replaced ALL of mine four times each under warranty. The finish of outside locks wear off in no time at all, and the locking mechanism tends to get "sticky" over time as well, and not want to lock/unlock.

Great price. This is a bit older though. I believe it only supports s0 security and not s2.

That's because last time woot had them, they didn't advertise them with the z wave module. I remember them, read next time!! It said z-wave capable

It's extremely pricey... I have two and had no idea they were z wave when u bought them. Was super happy about it when I connected them all to my security system and apps

Smartthings will warn you that it's not secure. But it should connect no problem.

The security keeps the connection encrypted and makes it harder for a device to impersonate a device or hub.

Absolutely not. It specifically said zwave, just like this listing. It didn't say capable. Only a few people received the item with the zwave module. Woot customer service agreed they had the listing wrong, and issued refunds for my two orders.

Not really. Being Z wave capable you would need a Z wave capable hub to pair this to before being able to access it through an app. Zwave devices are only controllable locally unless you pair them to a hub that has remote functionality (like SmartThings).
