I realized I hoard games, like the convenience of downloading games, and I dont like to resell games for small pittance. I guess I'm no longer the game-owning gamer I once was. Even cheap deals don't entice me as I dont play them and they slowly devalue over time. What's the point. I
am a convert, after all that mental beating the corporation won. I have no will to own disc that is partially installed on the media.

So this looks like a fancy Sonic Run mobile game. Is this any fun or am I just waiting for an epileptic seizure high?

It's a remake of a really solid Wii game

Exactly. Crazy PS5 fanboys for example can't even think critically like you. They're living in disillusion when it comes to modern physical disc game.

Thank you for being honest with your position. Not many users acknowledged the choice they're making and understood it thoroughly.

As far as this deal goes what you gonna do with?

The general lost of interest in physical media. The bad port, lazy remaster.. worst off than playing on Wii.. comes to the point .. there will come a time when we do away with this. I just happen to be there now. The reason most ppl want it is to resell it after they had their fun. Other than that I see more disadvantages on it now than I had. Times change, time to give these up. Not even at $11, would rather own digital and keep on hard drive than popping the disc in.

Do these even play off the disc? Seems more like a token to use the digital on said platform.

You mean does it install off the disc? Probably, at least a portion of it.

It's 2024, we don't play games off discs anymore, because that would be incredibly slow compared to the solid state drives we have in our gaming systems. Many modern titles won't physically fit on a blu ray disc anyway.

You are correct in thinking of these discs as a physical license to play the game. The license is tied to the disc instead of your Microsoft account like a digital-only version.

BDXL capacity is 128GB, unless we're talking about TB games, it's just publishers don't want to spend making physical copies anymore, primarily to save on money.
