Eh pish posh, forget all the smart features and buy a streaming box/stick. Smart TV's are awful and tend to slow down in a couple of years. I'd rather buy a new Fire TV for $35 than worry about getting updates for my smart TV. I have a 65" Samsung that didn't get the Apple TV app because it's one generation too old (TV was only 2 years old or less), but my 4K Fire TV got it, and I haven't used the smart features on it ever since.

Hmm, OP says in specs:

> Display Type: Standard LED w/ Direct Backlighting

But Best Buy's website says Edge lit, not direct lit

Need the 58" to go on sale for the bedroom. 65" is a tad too big.

I have a 65 in the bedroom now, and it's a little overwhelming. I think a 58 would be perfect. I'm afraid 55 will be too small lol.

The 58 is $377.99, not bad

That's about where that price should be anyways . The entry level Samsungs OS is slow and not the best . Ive had my 55 inch for the last 5 years and still running strong though and I regular play Xbox on it and stream . No issues with the build quality . Eventually I'll upgrade it to a 4k 120 refresh rate 65 inch tv but waiting for the right deal .

for starters, it's not the difference between 58" and 65". That'd be 7".

Tizen smart platform sucks, many apps are not on it and doesn't support some features of Google TV.

Sam's club ran a 3 day special on a TCL Qled last week. Got one, seems to be pretty good although this may be better not sure
