It's not necessary to find a shop to bring it to. For batteries, they just send you new ones after confirming they're bad and for tools, once you open a claim, they send you a prepaid shipping label to mail it in to the service center. They couldn't make it any easier.
Ridgid has been around for a long time. TTI makes Ridgid, Ryobi, Hart and Milwaukee power tools too.
This is the heavy high torque gun. Good price but for most its not a good item to use. More torque than most will need, could damage something. And its heavy so more cumbersome to use.

The mid-torque is much better. Plenty of power and not so heavy to be an issue.

I have both, mechanic work, and I use the mid-torque 95% of the time. high torque is mostly for crank bolts and rusty suspension work.

Isn't there like 4 selectable level of powers? I imagine most people would use the lowest level when tightening and increase if needed.

Heavy and more torque than most people need, yes. Was trying to help someone, my m18 mid torque (650ft-lb) couldn't break the lugs on their civic. A shop must have shot it in. Had to use the m18 high torque to take off their lugs.

My 2 cents
I would still feel safer using this ridgid or my m18 mid torque, as they both have auto stop feature when the bolt/lugs are loose or somewhat tight enough to finish with a torque wrench. Unlike the high torque m18 does not have this feature.

Reading the description on the webpage it says this wrench:

"Built with 3 speeds and an auto tightening mode, users can adjust speed and power for added control. This Brushless Mid-Torque Impact Wrench utilizes auto-tightening mode to automatically stop when fastening bolts to prevent over tightening. In reverse, this mode delivers full breakaway torque, then stops when the bolt is loose."

Edit: My bad, I thought you were implying this wrench does not have auto stop features.

bought this deal last week, it took off a heavily rusted strut bolt straight out of the package with a blinking orange light on the batter on my minivan that a mid-torque m18 wrench couldn't move and even 30 inch breaker bar with all my weight couldn't budge. This thing is a beast! I'm not in the ridgid eco-system, but with two batteries, I guess I'm open to more of their tools in the future.

Not knowing this, I bought the high torque Dewalt one and it damaged the lug nuts on my mini van so you speak the truth here. I stopped using it once I saw what it was doing.

Why do people yluse a torquebwrench to put anything on in the first place? That's not what this tool is for these are for busting it loose. And an adjustable click, bar or digital whench is used for toqueing it back down.

I get that people just slam stuff back on but geez some people need to use a tool for it's purpose and use proper tools.

This set has officially got me into the ridgid line mainly for the LSA and I want the right angle impact for when I have to do brake caliper bolts in the future but I will wait till it's in stock at 129 again.

As I read your first paragraph, I thought to myself "this guy hasn't worked on a crank bolt or suspensions."
Your last paragraph showed me you know what's up!
