I will travel in Air India but not Saudi Airline. Now you can imagine how bad an airline has to be for someone to pick air India over them.

Been on Saudi airlines many times, never had an issue. Actually thought their product was better for an econ seat based on comfort and service

Agreed. I've travelled on both. Generally I've found AI to have better food and comparatively friendlier staff. AI is generous on baggage and alcohol, whereas Saudia has a good juice collection. There have been times when Saudia was way cheaper in cost, but it can be a little rough if the transit time in Saudi. A transit in Saudi is 4x more boring than via DOH, AUH, or DXB.

The only thing coming to my mind (as per my last trip with Saudia) is that they don't allow you to carry liquor bottles/wines on your checked in baggage.

Saudia: No alcohol served on board. You are also not allowed to carry any alcohol in checked bag

A long Stop over at Jeddah is excruciating. Not the best airport to spend a long time. A short layover wouldn't matter much.

MBS is on a mission to make Saudi the next Dubai. But it is not possible as long as there is a complete ban on Alcohol.
