What I was asking is whether this fluid can be mixed with factory Mercon fluid that comes with the car from factory and work together. Because that's how we change the fluid without flushing.
What mercron are you speaking about?
If its the older mercon, or even mercon V, then I would use the Castrol HM green bottle ATF. Its a high viscosity fluid like the older mercons.

But if its a newer ford using Mercon LV, or SP, then yes you want to use the Maxlife in this deal as its also a LV fluid.
It can but I do not recommend it. Its the wrong color so if you needed warranty work they may deny based on color.
Instead use the Valvoline CVT fluid that is similar color to the OE fluid and exceeds the OE spec.
You can get at walmart stores or online.
