Does the stores have S24' in stock for instant trade in credit, anyone did in socal?
I went into a SoCal Spectrum store yesterday and was able to purchase S24 with a A11 trade in. $700 promo taken off point of sale when purchasing in full. Paid $95 difference and $85 tax out the door.

Thanks OP, this is a great deal. Went with the Samsung S24 - got $763 for trade in value for a Pixel 6a as an upgrade to my line. Took pay in full today route.

I forgot I have a Samsung A03S - Tracfone in the cupboard (stupid me, should have used that first, then the Pixel)! So I'm thinking add a line to my account, trade-in the A03S for an S24, since they're giving $805 in credit for it, pay for 60 days make sure it's unlocked then cancel.

I just got 2 phones on this deal. The in store guy set it up for a payment plan for 36 months at $2.40/mo. He said he can't change it to a lump sum bill. He said I had to call customer service to change that. I called them and they told me to go back to the store .. What do I do?I'm using the $30 for 2 lines promo. But I only want 1ye of service, not 3.
You either got an employee who either a) lied to you or b) inexperienced and don't know what they're talking about. Lump sum is the best way to go for instore. You pay once and then get out.

Go back to the store and talk to a manager. They might be able to fix it.

Newb here, I assume that we get the trade in credit and close the account after 60 days? Is that the end goal?
You will get your trade in credit before the 60 days but in order for you to get the phone unlocked you must wait the 60 days. You must call to request it to be unlocked. They won't do it for you automatically. The rule with Spectrum is they have no clue what they are doing. There are hundreds or thousands of reps. If you don't like the guy/girl on the phone, then just call right back. You'll get someone who can be more helpful.

"If mobile service canceled, remaining balance on Device Payment Plan becomes due".

Isn't the device FREE? Or they going to want you to pay the $800?

Does this mean after 60 days after the activation, I can call them to unlock the phone and cancel the services? If I am selecting Two S24 and using the 30/month service, my cost for two new S24 will be 108+30+30+20+20+200=$408? or $438 due to the 3 month fee?

I just went to Walmart and got 2 Motorola straight talk phones for $40/each.
Moro G play? And did they remove the $700 from the total outright with a payment in full, instead of doing it on a payment plan?

Yes. Purchased an S23 last year and only paid the difference. Thinking about getting one. Have an old A12 that qualifies.
So they'd take the phone on the spot, or do you ship it off to Assurant (trade in partner)? I'm curious because I have an old Oneplus with a cracked screen and it technically would meet the promo terms. If spectrum accepts it at the store, would I be in the clear? Ie, ship out to Assurant myself and maintain the 700 promo?

EDIT: looked at trade in FAQ and long terms, and it said that they only take the phones with brands and carriers listed as trade ins (even though mine would have more than 1 dollar worth value lol) and that you can surrender the device on the spot with full amount of trade in value deducted if you do it in store

Are there any contracts to be signed here? It says that the phones can be unlocked after 60 days. So could I unlock the phone and leave the carrier after 60 days or at least trade it in for an iphone?
