So it requires a spectrum mobile and internet plan? Your repost of the T&C answered nothing about the title.

It's been confirmed by multiple people already that the S24 phones are all locked for 60 days. The reps can't unlock it even if they tried.

Please stop lying and giving people false hope.

took a used 2023 moto budget phone in to a store in the tampa bay area (I checked that the device was eligible for trade-in via the spectrum website first as well as checking the IMEI).

told the guy at the counter I wanted to buy a new phone and activate a line. I said I wanted the razr and I wanted to trade in my device. he knew was was up right away. I selected the $20 a month pay by the gig plan. The trade-in value of my device exceeded the cost of the razr+ so the excess went towards the $20 activation charge. i walked out with a sealed unit (the last one that store had in stock), having paid $8. the device will be able to be unlocked after 2 billing cycles.

tips: make sure your device is eligible for trade-in via the spectrum website first. Check the IMEI during the trade in quote as well if you can. do the deal in store, surrender your old device to the rep at the counter, and make sure you get the new device right then and there. select the $20 plan and don't use any data. set a reminder to unlock at day 61. be nice to the rep at the counter. I got the last unit in their inventory. The guy literally told me he was going to do this same thing after work today. if I had been mean or curt or otherwise not warm and friendly, he might've come back saying oh sorry we don't have any left.

good luck

tu and rep to OP. i felt like i stole something today. THANKS!
What about sales tax? When I try to check out online, it applies sales tax for the full retail price of phone

Yes, I read the Title of this thread. If you are saying the contents are different, then kudos to Title as well!
The title has been edited since yesterday.

If you go in store you can trade in old phones for a straight up $800 credit towards the phone if you choose the "pay in full" option vs the 36mo finance option.

Also as of yesterday you could trade in a phone in-store and get $700 towards any of the new galaxy s24 phones. Doing that with the paid in full option seems to net a pretty cheap s24 (~$100+ 2months cheapest service) after using for 2 months, unlocking after 60 days, then presumably cancelling the service.

Depends on the state you live in, some states tax on full value of new phone, some states tax on the difference after trade-in

Snagged a phone off Prime for 60 bucks, coming tomorrow. I'll try my luck at the store, fingers crossed. Does anyone know whether they'd ship out the phone to you if they're out of stock at the store?

Great DPs here as always

So, you are still throwing Kudos to the deal inspite of being informed that there is no need for 36months EIP. Lmao

This was an excellent deal, I signed up for the Internet online and got a $100 visa gift card. Went in store and traded in my Galaxy Note 4 which they accepted on the spot and got $700 in promotional credit and $5 for the phone, walked out with a Galaxy s24 for $100. THANK YOU!

I thought about switching from Verizon to spectrum mobile until I realized a few things.

It wasn't gonna save us any money a month because I'm on a share plan with my parents. Paying 25-30$ a line on Verizon

We all upgrade our phones once every 2-3 years. And we use iPhones, so you think your saving 5$ a month and then later you want the new or last gen iPhone and your gonna be looking at 40$ a month.

Verizon occasionally has awesome upgrade deals directly, or through Walmart or Best Buy, so sometimes you can find last gen iPhones for half off or free sometimes depending on the deal.

So for me, switching to discount wireless carriers makes no sense. But not everyone can pull off a family share plan and that's understandable. But spectrum will NOT let you get good deals on the phone. This is one of the few times I've seen them offer a deal, and it's honestly not the best phone to be honest.

And most importantly, is it worth saving 5$ a month for a carrier that roams off of other carriers towers? If the tower gets congested you lose coverage during that time because Verizon gets the priority for their customers and there's less priority for anyone else. I've heard of people getting text messages and voicemails 24 hours later because of the congestion.
You wrote all that to thread crap on this deal? You don't understand what this deal is about for 90% of us.
ETA: say hi to your Mommy and Daddy from us poor people.

what happened to the title? Does that mean we no longer get the credit in a lump sum? I saw people talking about trading in store is OK, but if i pay in full online, will I still get the full credit at a time as usual?

i also checked the offer detail, it doesn't say new line being required. but the thread says we need new line. It's so confusing. i red all the comments here and didn't find clear answer. is upgrade still valid?
